We understand that women who thrive as problem solvers often get hijacked in the process of becoming a carer for a loved one with memory loss. This is most evident when using the information gathered through web searches and medical professionals and then applying it to daily routines and interactions. As women who hold ourselves to high standards, we already possess the fundamental skills to be successful care partners, however, we frequently become overwhelmed in the emotion and added responsibility. I have created a framework to refine our skills and apply them in support of independence for you and your loved one.
In this framework we combine neuroscience, evidence based strategies, relationship dynamics and principles of grief counseling to provide a unique service designed to maximize the skills of independence. My goal is to support people as they live at home longer following a diagnosis of dementia and give you time to pivot. I am passionate about providing a solution to the experience of isolation and overwhelm memory change often brings.
I have experienced the journey through dementia both as a clinician and daughter. I have seen first hand that we can slow the transition and adapt more easily when we allow ourselves to be supported.
We CAN have a positive impact together.

"I consider myself a 'thinker' and can typically solve problems on my own but I would not have come up with this plan without you."

"I want to sincerely thank you for being a resource to me over the past year. I am at a place of peace right now, even knowing the road ahead will be challenging. When we met I was frozen by fear, overwhelm and grief."

Carolyn W.
"I needed a plan not just information. I felt overwhelmed by what I was finding online but wasn't even sure what applied to us, much less, what actionable steps to take. Your experience made the difference."
